Home High School Help
Comments 2
I do feel the anxiety and stress. I am battling with health issues because of my stress (this includes hair falling out). I have left the Charter School system, so this is my first year filing an Affidavit for my 4 homeschooled children. My anxiety falls specifically on my Sophomore son who wants to be a Pilot in the Air Force. He must be commissioned as an officer to reach this goal. I've got many questions, in which many I'm sure I'm not aware I have. However, I am not confident he is on "course" for high school, how do I start keeping all the records necessary for transcripts, where to find the information about required HS classes, whether I should look into "dual college enrollment," and how to motivate him to focus on better grades and reaching for help with areas he struggles with. Perhaps I am setting the bar too high with something he is unable to accomplish??? I am excited to read the wealth of information I am beginning to see here on your site. I am in California, so I don't know how to discern whether some or much of the information applies to this state. Thank you in advance for your hard work on this site.
Dear April,
I've homeschooled in CA, so I know how stressful it can be. Worrying won't help you at all, and you will be a more sane mom if you can find your way to peace. You're smart to do your homework to find out what needs to be done. Lee handles stress the same way. She does lots of research, and as a result, she knows more about homeschooling high school than anyone else I've met! I think you will really benefit from The Gold Care Club. Having a consultation with Lee will help tremendously, I'm sure! If you decide that it's not what you hoped for, Lee provides a no-questions-asked, 60-day refund policy.
