And sometimes, life is to short *not* to take advantage of opportunities. The sunny weather after days of gloom and busy-ness drew my children outside like a magnet. We *could* have done more school today, but I have a feeling they learned more from watching a baby garter snake shed its skin. I don't think they would have absorbed any of my teaching while the sunshine was beckoning. We laminated the skin, and now we have a wonderful specimen for our collection of "nature stuff." We also spent a good long time contemplating the colors within wind-whipped waves at the beach. Tomorrow we can start school with better attitudes.
