I'd Like to Thank the Academy...

Hi everyone,

Matt here (Mr. HomeScholar). I was Twittering today and discovered that we are in the nomination period for (drumroll...) The 2008 Homeschool Blog Awards.  Being ever humble, I didn't feel right about nominating The HomeScholar blog, but thought it be acceptable if I let y'all know in case you were so inclined.  Here is a link to the categories.  Unfortunately, there are no categories for "Homeschool High School" or even "Best Husband in a Supporting Role." There were, however, categories for "Best Encourager" and "Best Business Blog."

If you have a moment, I know Lee would appreciate being nominated.  She puts a lot into blogging each day.  Here is the nomination page.

While your out there, make sure to nominate your other favorite blogs!

Thanks for your support!

Matt

In order to say thanks, I included one of our wedding videos (or at least, I WISH it was one of our wedding videos!)  What a hoot! (fast forward to about 1:30)

Evolution of a Wedding Dance
Failing Math in Public School
Junior Year Jitters

You've read my mind. I actually check the blog on a daily basis to see what gold nuggets Lee will share. And, I wish that we could nominate best homeschool newsletter because you'd both be nominated, Matt! I can't wait for the November issues... and for the new audio course!

I put my nomination in this morning! It's nice to know someone who's "been there, done that." That alone is encouraging!

About us

Lee has three core beliefs about homeschooling: homeschooling provides the best possible learning environment; every child deserves a college-prep education whether or not they choose to go to college; and parents are capable of providing a superior education to their children. Lee does not judge your homeschool or evaluate your children. Instead, she comes alongside to help and encourage parents homeschooling high school.
