Find Freedom in Home Education!
I love celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July! It always reminds me of the freedoms we enjoy. I'm thankful we are free to homeschool in the way that is right for our children.
Independent homeschoolers can teach each child at their level in every subject all the time, using curriculum that meets their needs and methods that matches their learning style. How awesome is that?
Consider homeschooling independently, outside the public school box. It's great preparation for college and for life! Don't be afraid to stretch your wings, and provide courses without textbooks, tests, or timelines. Include delight directed learning, and put it on your homeschool transcript. And yes, you can include summer academics on your homeschool transcript. You can choose to put activities either within last year's courses, or keep it for a course for this coming year. Freedom is the key word!
What are you doing for the holiday? Last 4th of July, I made this Flag Cake for our family party.
I also made white chocolate filled raspberries (incredibly yummy!) and red, white and blue strawberries (so pretty it's worth every penny of the sparkly sugar!)
I hope you have a wonderful celebration!
